Teamwork: On the (Tennis) Court & Off

Last week, RES third graders visited the Burlington Tennis Club to try out all of our tennis skills on the clay courts!  We practiced our ball & racket handling skills, agility, serving, and our backhand and forehand shots!

Then, we traveled to Oakledge Park on Lake Champlain for a picnic lunch and an afternoon of cooperative games.  We all played "Giants, Wizards & Elves" and then had a choice of a scavenger hunt around the park or playing capture the flag.

An Electric Show!

On Wednesday evening, we performed our team play "It's Electrifying" in front of a sold-out crowd of 130+ of our dearest friends and relatives.  It was fantastic show and the actors did a fantastic job!

Here's a sneak peek from our rehearsal yesterday...actors wore pieces of their costumes and practiced curtain calls! Can't wait for our performance Wednesday, February 18 at 5:00pm.

Third graders are working hard to memorize lines and learn songs for our team play: Character Matters!



Last week, we went "off-script" for the first time and today we took our show into the gym to start working on the staging!

We are hoping to organize the set tomorrow (April 10) after school. Please let us know if you're able to help out! We hope to have all the costume pieces ready by April 11, too.
